GoTo Resolve addresses organisation security challenge for employee’s BYOD devices with new Mobile Device Management solution

Sydney, June 28, 2023 – GoTo, an all-in-one IT management and remote support solution, today announced its new mobile device management (MDM) capabilities for GoTo Resolve enabling IT teams to easily secure and manage all devices – company-owned and personal – including smartphones, tablets, and laptops, all from a unified dashboard.

The new GoTo Resolve MDM capability comes at a crucial time for organisations. Research from Frost & Sullivan revealing the number of employees using multiple devices at work, including unsecured personal devices, continues to grow with the prevalence of remote and hybrid work models, and that 80% of business leaders feel mobile devices are essential for employees to do their jobs.

Proactive MDM software is no longer a “nice-to-have” toolset for managing company devices, and is now essential to ensure the security, compliance, and encryption of company data on a range of devices used by employees around the world.

“It’s hard to deny the positive impact mobile devices have played when it comes to working, providing the ability for people to collaborate from anywhere. However as mobile device use for work continues to increase, it is important to consider the threats that are increasing in parallel,”

said Natasha Rock, Solutions Lead for IT Management and Support APAC at GoTo.

“As helpful as evolving workstyles may be, if organisations aren’t prepared for the challenges that may present, in this case the malicious threats that may attack employees’ personal mobile devices, the new ways of working have the potential to cause a stream of consequences,” said Rock.

“Business leaders, CIOs and IT teams should ensure they have invested in the right solutions to help secure employee personal devices, and when looking to manage a plethora of devices, a solution that integrates with the rest of the organisation’s technology suite will ultimately prove to be a gamechanger for efficiency and ease of use.”

Damon Covey, SVP and Head of Product at GoTo added: “When GoTo acquired Miradore last year, it was always our end goal to incorporate their impressive mobile device management technology into GoTo Resolve.

“With GoTo Resolve’s new MDM solution, we can now offer businesses all the features they need for effective management of company-owned and BYOD devices in a user-friendly interface, so IT teams can better control and secure devices and data, automate tasks, and provide remote maintenance from anywhere. This solution, coupled with Resolve’s existing support for Windows and Mac endpoints, provides IT administrators with a truly heterogenous device management experience,” said Damon Covey, Senior Vice President, Head of Product at GoTo. “GoTo’s acquisition of Miradore delivered a key asset for GoTo Resolve, and with today’s launch we’ve seamlessly integrated the product into our proven IT management and support solution.”

Craig Sims, Co-Managing Director at Converged Communication Network Applications (CCNA), a channel partner of GoTo’s, welcomes GoTo’s new MDM capability for GoTo Resolve, as it is a valuable and essential solution for its clients around the country.

“On a daily basis we recommend solutions that streamline processes and improve the day-to-day operations of business, to drive efficiency, effectiveness, security and ROI. The new GoTo Resolve MDM solution provides high-grade endpoint monitoring across a range of employee devices and consolidating all these features made it an easy decision for us to adopt the solution internally at CCNA and roll it out throughout the company.”

The new GoTo Resolve MDM, available as an add-on to GoTo Resolve’s core remote monitoring and management (RMM) offering or as a standalone solution, includes all the features needed to quickly improve IT toolset, including:

  • Supports all major operating systems: No device type is left behind with iOS, Android, and Windows OS coverage.
  • Enforces data protection: Lock down sensitive company data with a wide range of security settings including disk encryption and mandatory strong passcodes, track and wipe devices remotely, and more.
  • Simplifies control and configurations: Reduce the burden on IT teams by easily pushing device configurations, restrictions, updates, and applications via mass-deployment policies or individual installations.
  • Real-time analytics: Keep a pulse on endpoints with insights on device hardware and software, and monitor devices from any location.
  • Automates device setup: Have confidence all devices are properly enrolled with remote deployment of pre-configured settings and applications automatically with company policies for new devices.

GoTo, the company making IT management, support, and business communication easy with flagship products GoTo ResolveGoTo Connect, and Rescue, further fortifies its commitment to being a one-stop-shop for businesses’ IT management and support needs with the new MDM capabilities.
