Biography

Mick Dunne is the Chief Cybersecurity Advisor at Microsoft where he is focused on ensuring alignment between Microsoft and their customers on cybersecurity challenges, product roadmaps and long-term security needs. Mick and his team bring deep industry experience as former CISOs and CTOs to enable them to work with customers with empathy and understanding of the challenges security teams face.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Mick was the first CISO at Australian Super, and has previously held senior positions in information security at nbnCo, KPMG, and the Federal Attorney Generalโ€™s department, following a long career with the Royal Australian Navy.

With over 30 years of experience, Mick is a seasoned security professional who has worked across a broad range of industries, including finance, telecommunications, professional services, federal and state government, and defence. His expertise spans cyber, physical, and personal security.
