Gigamon has partnered with Zscaler to deliver enhanced visibility across Zero Trust environments, addressing a growing challenge for organisations managing increasingly complex hybrid infrastructure.
The integration combines Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) with Gigamon’s Application Metadata Intelligence (AMI), enabling security and IT teams to gain deeper insight into application activity without compromising the principles of Zero Trust. As organisations across sectors modernise their networks and move away from traditional VPNs, maintaining visibility across distributed systems has become a critical concern.
For industries managing large-scale infrastructure and connected environments, understanding how users and systems interact beyond initial access is essential. While Zero Trust models are effective in controlling access, they often leave gaps in visibility once a connection is established. This joint solution bridges that gap by correlating identity-based access with detailed network and application telemetry.
Gigamon’s AMI technology extracts extensive metadata from network traffic, including application behaviour, DNS activity, and performance indicators. When integrated with ZPA, this enables visibility into East-West traffic flows between applications and workloads—an area often associated with lateral movement and hidden threats.
According to recent industry research, visibility remains a top challenge for security leaders despite ongoing investment in tools and platforms. This highlights the need for solutions that not only secure access but also provide actionable insight into system behaviour across hybrid environments.
By combining identity context with deep observability, the Gigamon and Zscaler integration supports more effective policy validation, faster incident response, and improved operational resilience. For organisations operating across critical infrastructure and complex digital ecosystems, this level of insight is increasingly vital.
The solution is currently available in limited access for joint customers.
