Avant Mutual has appointed Kate Healy as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
Healy recently shared news of the appointment on LinkedIn.
“My first month has been an absolute whirlwind, but I am absolutely loving my team and the challenges I’ll be solving,” said Healy.
She joins the organisation as Avant Mutual continues to build out its technology, security and risk management functions supporting Australia’s medical professionals.
On LinkedIn, Healy described Avant Mutual as an organisation led by its mission of supporting members “By Doctors for Doctors”.
Speaking with KBI.Media, Healy said the organisation’s mission and history were key reasons behind the move.
“I’m excited to be part of Avant Mutual’s 130 year history of supporting Australia’s medical professionals. It’s wonderful to be part of a mission led organisation and I’m looking forward to supporting and building the team,” said Healy.
Healy will lead the organisation’s cyber security strategy, governance and resilience initiatives.
She added, “To our lovely vendor and PS community, please respect that my focus will be on my team over the coming months.”
