Sydney, Australia. November 23, 2023 – Zscaler, Inc., the leader in cloud security, is investing in accelerating its growth and innovation capabilities across the Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) region through the appointment of Andreas Hartl, Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific & Japan. Zscaler is poised to further accelerate its growth momentum with the addition of Andreas to its well established bench of strong leadership.
The advent of emerging technologies, such as Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), has led to growing concerns amongst APJ enterprises with 62 percent stating that their organisation sees Generative AI tools as more of a threat than an opportunity.1 Yet, most organisations (97 percent) are allowing the use of the tools.2 As IT teams look at balancing the cyber risks against the opportunities when adopting these technologies, it has become even more critical to adopt a zero trust strategy to ensure the highest degree of security for IT infrastructures. Andreas has been brought on to further strengthen the APJ leadership team to ensure Zscaler’s customers are able to navigate their zero trust journeys seamlessly.
A visionary, an advocate of digital transformation and enabler of growth, Andreas Hartl has been brought on as the business leader for APJ to oversee people growth, business strategy and investment in the region. Prior to joining Zscaler, Andreas was in key leadership positions at Aveva, IBM and Microsoft – responsible for building and managing high-performing teams across multiple regions, resulting in substantial revenue growth and market penetration. With close to three decades of experience in the IT industry, Andreas is known for his strategic vision, exceptional leadership skills, and ability to foster strong relationships with clients and partners.
Andreas Hartl, Senior Vice President for APJ, Zscaler, shared, “I am thrilled about the opportunity to join Zscaler and immerse in its strong culture of innovation and unwavering customer dedication. As more organisations continue to double down on zero trust architecture, there is great potential to drive purposeful change. I am looking forward to collaborating closely with the exceptional team to further propel Zscaler’s vision to empower organizations in APJ to realise the full potential of the cloud and mobility through zero trust.”
