Sydney, Australia – Wattwatchers, a leader in real-time energy management and data solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Dunn as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
With a distinguished career spanning over three decades in high-tech B2B industries, including climate tech, cleantech, IoT, software, building automation and industrial automation, Dunn brings a wealth of experience in technology, operations, sales and business transformation to Wattwatchers as it embarks on its next phase of growth.
Dunn joins Wattwatchers after leading Critical FEW, a consulting business dedicated exclusively to cleantech and climate tech companies.

Mark Dunn, CEO of WattWatchers
Prior to that, he was Executive General Manager of BSA Advanced Property Solutions, where he successfully transformed a $240M+ AUD business, integrated multiple acquisitions and led the sale of the business to CBRE.
Before his tenure at BSA and CBRE, Dunn spent 26 years at Honeywell, where he held senior executive positions in Australia, the U.S., and Asia-Pacific. Dunn’s leadership at Honeywell was defined by strong business performance, technology innovation, and strategic growth. He led sales for an $800M+ USD business across 16 time zones, achieved sustained double-digit revenue and operating income growth, and played a pivotal role in cloud-based service transformation initiatives.
Passion for Climate Tech & Scaling Impact
Dunn’s appointment reflects Wattwatchers’ commitment to accelerating the transition to a net-zero economy. His passion for energy efficiency, sustainability and technology-driven solutions has been a defining force in his career.
“I have always had a real passion for climate tech, cleantech, and energy efficiency,” said Dunn. “That’s been a deliberate focus in my career, and I’ve been fortunate to work in businesses that drive real impact in this space. When I had the opportunity to join Wattwatchers, it was a direct hit in every way—it’s exactly the kind of business I want to be leading.”
Through his previous work with cleantech and climate tech startups Dunn gained firsthand insight into the sector’s challenges and opportunities. This experience reinforced his drive to take on a leadership role where he could scale technology solutions that accelerate Australia’s transition to a cleaner, more efficient and data-driven energy future.
“What really drives me is contributing to sustainability and getting to a net-zero economy,” Dunn added. Wattwatchers is doing exactly that by giving people real-time energy data they can actually use to optimise energy, reduce emissions, and accelerate electrification. That kind of impact is what makes this role so exciting for me.”
Growth Plans for Wattwatchers
Under Dunn’s leadership, Wattwatchers aims to double its revenue within the next financial year, with a strong focus on expanding in the commercial buildings sector. While continuing to serve residential and wholesale customers, the company will invest in additional sales resources and product development to drive adoption across larger-scale energy users.
“Our big focus now is really turbocharging the growth in the business, especially with commercial buildings customers,” Dunn explained. “We already have an excellent solution for that market, and now it’s about scaling up, bringing in additional sales resources, and making sure our platform continues to evolve to meet customer needs.”
While Wattwatchers has a strong foundation, Dunn is focused on rapid scaling while maintaining the company’s technology leadership.
“This is a business with an exceptional technology platform that is already making a real difference in energy management, sustainability, and emissions reduction,” Dunn added. “Now, we need to focus on accelerating our impact and expanding our reach, particularly in the commercial sector, while continuing to support our existing customers in residential and wholesale markets.”
Dunn’s extensive leadership experience in building automation, cleantech, and connected solutions, coupled with his passion for climate action, makes him ideally positioned to lead Wattwatchers into its next chapter.
