Melbourne, Australia — October 23, 2025 — Oracle and Google Cloud are now offering Oracle Database@Google Cloud to customers in Australia. With the debut of the dynamic multicloud service in Australia, customers can now run Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in the Australia-Southeast 2 (Melbourne) Google Cloud datacenter. In addition, Google Cloud and Oracle partners can purchase Oracle Database@Google Cloud from the Google Cloud Marketplace via a private offer and resell it to their customers for the first time.
Oracle Database@Google Cloud is designed to help customers combine their enterprise data in Oracle databases with Google Cloud’s analytics and AI services to improve decision-making and gain more complete results from Google’s Gemini models and Vertex AI platform. In addition, it enables customers to create cloud applications using the industry-leading Oracle AI Database or migrate existing applications to Oracle AI Database services running on OCI in Google Cloud datacenters.

Stephen Bovis, Regional Managing Director, ANZ at Oracle
“Oracle Database@Google Cloud in Australia will support the strong demand we’re seeing from customers for multicloud solutions,” said Stephen Bovis, regional managing director, Australia and New Zealand, Oracle. “This gives our mutual customers in Australia the ability to seamlessly combine the high performance of Oracle AI Database with Google Cloud’s native AI and analytics services and accelerate innovation.”

Paul Migliorini, Vice President, ANZ, at Google Cloud
“By bringing together Oracle’s database and applications with Google Cloud’s AI platform services, we are empowering our customers to rapidly accelerate their cloud journey, unlock new AI-driven innovation, and thrive in a multicloud world,” said Paul Migliorini, vice president, Australia & New Zealand, Google Cloud.

Daphne Chung, Research Director, Cloud Services and Software Research at IDC Asia/Pacific, IDC
“We’re seeing a real shift as organisations move away from relying on a single cloud provider,” said Daphne Chung, research director, cloud services and software research, IDC Asia/Pacific, IDC. “The rapid growth of multicloud databases shows just how strongly organisations value flexibility and scale, especially as hyperscalers expand capacity. What makes this moment different is the ability to connect powerful AI models — whether Gemini, ChatGPT, or Grok — directly to existing data. That’s not just about efficiency; it’s about giving customers genuine choice and unlocking new ways to get value from the cloud for years to come.”
Powerful Cloud Database Services
Oracle Database@Google Cloud gives customers direct access to Oracle AI Database services running on OCI and deployed in Google Cloud datacenters. The first Oracle AI Database services to be offered through Oracle Database@Google Cloud to customers in Australia are:
- Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure:Customers can use Oracle Exadata Database Service on Dedicated Infrastructure, which supports Oracle Exadata X11M and leverages Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), to help deliver significant performance improvements across AI, analytics, and online transaction processing (OLTP) compared to the previous generation.
- Oracle AI Database 26ai:Customers can accelerate app development and run mission-critical workloads using the latest version of Oracle AI Database, which includes Oracle AI Vector Search, JSON Relational Duality Views, and over 300 additional major features focused on simplifying the use of AI with data. Oracle AI Vector Search enables customers to securely combine search for documents, images, and other unstructured data with search on private business data—without moving or duplicating it. With JSON Relational Duality Views, developers no longer have to choose a single data model for their data, and instead they can use both JSON and relational data models on the same data.
New Oracle Database@Google Cloud Partner Program
Google Cloud and Oracle partners in Australia can now purchase Oracle Database@Google Cloud through the Google Cloud Marketplace via a private offer, resell it to their customers, and integrate it into their solutions to support multicloud and IT modernisation initiatives.
The program is open to partners that belong to both the Google Cloud Partner Advantage program and the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN). Partners can leverage their existing investments in Google Cloud commitments to address the growing demand for modern, multicloud architectures.

Matt Coates, Technology Lead for Accenture in ANZ
“As a strategic partner to both Oracle and Google Cloud, we are helping organisations in Australia embrace a true multicloud approach to modernise their IT foundations and accelerate innovation with data and AI,” said Matt Coates, Technology lead for Accenture in Australia and NZ. “The launch of Oracle Database@Google Cloud in Australia comes at a time when organisations are accelerating their multicloud strategies, offering a powerful opportunity to deliver more integrated, data-driven solutions.”
The new Australia-Southeast 2 (Melbourne) region is in addition to the seven available Google Cloud regions across Asia-Northeast 1 (Tokyo), Germany Central (Frankfurt), North America-Northeast 1 (Montreal), UK South (London), US Central 1 (Iowa), US East (Ashburn), and US West (Salt Lake City). In addition, disaster recovery capabilities for critical workloads have been implemented in the existing US East (Ashburn) and UK South (London) regions. Nine new regions are planned within the next 12 months, including America-South 1 (Mexico), Asia-Northeast 2 (Osaka), Asia-South 1 (Mumbai), Asia-South 2 (Delhi), Australia-Southeast 1 (Sydney), Europe-West 8 (Milan), Europe-West 12 (Turin), North America-Northeast 2 (Toronto), and South America-East 1 (São Paulo), with disaster recovery locations added to Frankfurt, Melbourne, and Milan regions to help meet resiliency needs.
