Logicalis Strengthens Technology Assurance Capability with Appointment of Luke Gardiner

Melbourne, Australia – 9 February, 2026: Logicalis Australia, a leading global technology services provider, has announced the appointment of Luke Gardiner as principal of its Technology Assurance Services (TAS) group, strengthening the company’s advisory capability for organisations operating in financial services and other highly-regulated industries.

Luke’s appointment is a key pillar of technical services director, Peter Cardassis’s strategy to evolve Logicalis Australia’s managed services portfolio, supporting a shift toward regulatory-ready solutions as scrutiny continues to intensify across Australia’s critical industries. Luke will lead advisory-led engagements across the financial services sector, helping organisations translate regulatory obligations into practical, executable uplift programs that strengthen both cybersecurity and operational resilience.

Lisa Fortey, general manager, Logicalis Australia, said, “Logicalis Australia is delighted to secure Luke Gardiner at a time when regulated organisations are facing unprecedented scrutiny. Luke brings deep expertise in technology assurance and a practical understanding of how organisations can meet rising regulatory expectations without slowing down business. His appointment strengthens Logicalis Australia’s ability to help clients navigate increasingly complex compliance requirements with confidence.”

Peter adds, “the integration of Technology Assurance Services into our core Transformation Services, Managed Services, SOC, and Private Cloud offerings is a direct response to our customers’ need for ‘compliance-by-design’. By bringing Luke on board to lead this practice, we are ensuring that our commercials and service delivery are not just competitive, but inherently defensible against the most rigorous regulatory standards.”

Luke brings more than two decades of technology services experience spanning solution sales, pre‑sales architecture, consulting, and transformation delivery. He has held senior advisory and leadership roles at Dell Technologies, NTT, and Ethan Group, where he built and scaled consulting‑led sales practices while delivering measurable outcomes for enterprise customers.

He also led complex resilience and outsourcing programs at Siemens, including transformation initiatives and local merger‑and‑acquisition (M&A) integration and separation activities, before joining Dell Technologies to head cyber resiliency and security consulting, primarily supporting financial services, federal government, and enterprise organisations in highly regulated industries.

Luke Gardiner, principal, Technology Assurance Services, Logicalis Australia, said, “I am excited to join Logicalis Australia and lead the new Technology Assurances Services division. Australian organisations need a clear view of risk to confidently assess their readiness and their ability to respond to major incidents. That means moving beyond policy and frameworks and focusing on how technology, suppliers, and operating models perform in practice.
“Regulated organisations don’t need theoretical models that sit on a shelf. They need a defensible, practical view of where they currently stand and guidance on how to close the gaps, prioritise uplift in a way that stands up to regulatory scrutiny.”

With regulators enforcing obligations such as CPS 230 and the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act, organisations face increasingly compressed timelines to align and comply. It was this challenge led the TAS team to develop Logicalis Australia’s TORA (Technical Operations and Readiness Assessment) methodology that will be used in future engagements. This challenge led Peter Cardassis’s team, the TAS specialists and extended team, to develop Logicalis Australia’s TORA methodology.

TORA is specifically designed for organisations operating within regulated industries to accelerate their cyber resilience via a pragmatic, workshop‑based discovery and assessment program. It delivers a roadmap to uplift technology operations and align them to a unified control set tailored to each customer’s broader governance, risk, and compliance requirements and obligations.

Luke Gardiner said, “Over the coming months, Logicalis Australia will host a series of industry-aligned roundtables to explore how organisations can accelerate their governance and compliance journeys. These sessions will also gather feedback on how the TORA methodology can be further tailored to the specific needs of organisations operating within highly regulated sectors.”
