March 27, 2024 โ Fortinet, the global cybersecurity leader driving the convergence of networking and security, has announced it has extended its partnership with Brennan, Australiaโs leading business technology provider, signing the first Fortinet managed security service provider (MSSP) enterprise agreement (EA) in Australia. The new agreement expands the long-standing relationship between the two companies, further placing Brennan in the strongest position possible to successfully deliver complex secure software defined wide area network (SD-WAN) migrations for local customers.
Dave Stevens, founder and managing director, Brennan, said, โBrennanโs new MSSP EA with Fortinet marks a significant milestone for the organisation, reinforcing its status as Australiaโs largest sovereign systems integrator. It also uniquely positions Brennan to handle intricate SD-WAN migrations, ensuring superior connectivity and security for its clients with the support of Fortinet. Brennanโs common objective is to equip Australian businesses with leading network protection. This collaboration lets Brennan address the evolving demands of modern enterprises, particularly those with multi-site operations.โ
Dale Nachman, country manager, Australia, Fortinet, said, โFortinet is excited to sign its first Australian MSSP EA and expand the companyโs trusted, long-standing partnership with Brennan by continuing to provide value and security to local customers. Brennan is one of the most mature productised MSPs that Fortinet works with, and this collaboration is much more than just a licensing agreement. Itโs a testament to the mutual growth of both organisations over the years and simplifies access to Fortinetโs technology, providing the most efficient and risk-free service to clients.โ
Brennan already had a large fleet of existing Fortinet devices, prior to signing the MSSP EA, with licences renewing across different dates. The expanded partnership under the new MSSP EA brings together volume licensing agreements for the best possible customer outcomes while synchronising customer renewal dates into a single transaction. The agreement provides two key avenues of operations for Brennan in terms of commercial customer engagement. Where Brennan purchases Fortinet assets and enhances them through Brennan services and carriage connections, customers can engage with Brennan for three and five-year service deals. Alternatively, where customers own their own Fortinet products and procures their own carriage, they can partner with Brennan to build additional services, including secure SD-WAN, and enter into management agreements for up to five years.
Dave Stevens said, โCustomers can be flexible with the technology they use; however, they trust their MSP to have done the research, pick the best of breed vendor to work with, deliver productised outcomes, and back the relationship to manage at scale. Thatโs the experience Brennan has with Fortinet. The business experienced significant growth with Fortinet over the past five years, multiplying its success by twenty-fold, and now enjoy a reciprocal strategic partnership in SD-WAN, firewall, threat protection, and more security solutions for its customers as one of Fortinetโs largest MSPs.โ
Dale Nachman said, โThis agreement introduces unprecedented agility and speed in deploying Fortinetโs solutions to meet the dynamic needs of Brennanโs customers. The partnership offers Brennan enhanced adaptability to address the ever-changing network and security requirements of their customers through cost-effective, market leading network and cloud solutions underpinned by best of breed security.โ
The agreement signifies a crucial development in the cybersecurity landscape in Australia. It streamlines the process of licence renewal and technology access for Brennan and reaffirms the companyโs commitment to offering flexible, cost-effective, and market-leading secure SD-WAN solutions. This partnership is a step forward in ensuring that Australian organisations can thrive securely in a digital-first economy with the support of both Brennan and Fortinet.
