Databricks to Upskill NSW Public Sector in AI, Data Analytics

Databricks, the Data and AI company will uplift the digital capability in the public sector workforce, in alignment with the NSW Digital Strategy by training a minimum of 100 users over a 12-month period helping them upskill on innovative technologies like artificial intelligence and data analytics.

Once users have completed their training, they will obtain Databricks certification and accreditation, and be able to train their colleagues, which will better empower public sector staff to confidently leverage the suite of capabilities on the Databricks Intelligence Platform.

The Databricks Data Intelligence Platform democratises access to data and AI, making it easier for organisations to harness the power of their data for analytics, machine learning, and AI applications. Built on a lakehouse architecture, the platform enables public sector organisations to drive innovation, lower costs, and reduce risk through unified governance.

“Leading organisations around Australia and the world are using data and AI to improve processes, and more importantly – outcomes. Government departments must have access to the same data intelligence in order to develop innovative solutions that improve the lives of citizens and enable internal teams to work more efficiently,” said Adam Beavis, Vice President and General Manager for Databricks in ANZ. “With Databricks’ leading data and AI academy programme, we’ll support the NSW State Government to continue its innovation journey and empower public sector staff to identify use cases for data and AI that can benefit people all across NSW.”
