Interviewee Profiles
Chris Krebs
Ex-Director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and current Director of The Krebs Group
Chris Krebs has spent his career at the intersection of cybersecurity, national security, and technology policy, in government, in the private sector, and in the rooms where the hardest decisions get made. As the first Director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), he stood up America’s civilian cyber defence mission, led the protection of critical infrastructure, and ran the most secure election in modern U.S. history. Before CISA, he oversaw cybersecurity policy at Microsoft and held senior roles at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. After leaving government, Krebs co-founded Krebs Stamos Group (KSG), a cybersecurity consultancy later acquired by SentinelOne, where he served as Chief Public Policy Officer. He now leads The Krebs Group, an advisory firm helping organisations navigate cyber risk, AI, and the shifting global threat landscape. Known for speaking plainly about hard problems, Krebs brings a practitioner’s perspective to the questions that keep boards, governments, and technology leaders up at night.
