Check Point Software Technologies Expands Australian Presence with Western Australia Check Point Workspace Security SASE Data Residency Instance

Perth, Western Australia, 13 April 2026— Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), a pioneer and global leader of cyber security solutions, today announced the implementation of a new Western Australia data residency instance of Check Point Workplace Security SASE reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to enabling secure customer digital transformation while addressing Australia’s data privacy, sovereignty and compliance requirements. The new Western Australia presence further underscores Check Point’s elevated, long-term commitment to supporting enterprise and government organisations across Western Australia, providing them with locally hosted, secure and compliant cyber security services tailored to their operational and regulatory needs.

The new site in Perth complements existing Check Point Point of Presence (PoP) instances in Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and Auckland, in New Zealand.  At the same time, it supports public and private sector enterprises in Western Australia with local performance and residency requirements for local storage and processing of data to protect privacy, reduce operational risk and ensure compliance to legislation, including the SOCI Act, Privacy Act, My Health Records Act, APRA CPS 234 and the ASD Essential Eight.

The Perth Workplace Security SASE PoP is built with redundancy and autoscaling to ensure uninterrupted service. High-availability clusters, a true hybrid mesh architecture, AI-powered operations backed by Check Point ThreatCloud AI, and secure tunnels provide multiple alternate paths for traffic, ensuring no single point of failure.  A key feature is its capacity to proactively blocks threats such as malware, phishing, and anomalous behaviour while providing deep visibility and control over cloud applications. A single-pane-of-glass interface streamlines policy enforcement, monitoring, and reporting across the enterprise, data centre, and cloud; delivering stronger on-device security and a better end-user experience.

Each Check Point PoP also enforces Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) policies, allowing only authorised users and devices to access resources, whether on-premises or in the cloud. By connecting to the nearest PoP, users benefit from optimised routing across Check Point’s private backbone, which dynamically selects the best-performing path based on real-time network conditions.

“We are deeply committed to helping all organisations to secure, simplify and transform their operations while providing the resilient infrastructure organisations need to strengthen their cyber security posture and maximise the benefits of their AI transformation,” said David Caspari, Managing Director ANZ Check Point Software Technologies.  “The local Workplace Security SASE PoP here in Perth reinforces our prevention-first approach and helps Western Australian enterprises leverage trusted AI-powered security built to Australian standards eliminating the need for backhauling traffic to distant data centres, ensuring faster access to critical applications and services. With the ability to dynamically monitor and optimise network performance, we look forward to partnering with enterprises in the west through our new instance to further reinforce consistent, high-quality connectivity.”

The new Check Point Workplace Security SASE PoP instance in Western Australia is further supported by over 80 existing global interconected PoPs, ensuring low-latency access and enabling enterprises to scale securely while confidently safeguarding users, applications, and data across their digital ecosystems.

Earlier this year, Check Point announced the successful completion and delivery of an Australian Government Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment Report for its Check Point Cloud Infinity products, at the PROTECTED classification level reinforcing its capacity to maintain a mature, globally standardised, and risk-aware security posture across administrative, production, and cloud environments.
