SentinelOne Appoints Jason Duerden As ANZ Area Vice President, As It Expands Its Focus On Protecting Government And Critical Infrastructure

Sydney, Australia – 17 March 2026 – SentinelOne®, the leader in AI cybersecurity, has appointed Jason Duerden as Area Vice President for Australia and New Zealand, marking a decisive step in the company’s next phase of regional growth, with defending government and SOCI Act aligned critical infrastructure organisations firmly in its sights.

The appointment comes as cyber threats escalate in scale and sophistication, and as Australian and New Zealand organisations accelerate adoption of AI technologies. SentinelOne enters this next chapter as a dominant force in the region’s AI security market, with market leadership across security of AI, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), AI SIEM, Cloud Security, Identity Security and Exposure Management.

Over the past 5 years since launching in ANZ the company has significantly grown its customer footprint, protecting over 1,000 organisations alongside a diverse network of ecosystem partners, and expanding its local team investment to a staff of over 50 people. Duerden will lead SentinelOne’s accelerated efforts at a time where cyber resilience is now inseparable from national resilience.

“Threat actors are highly active and ANZ organisations are innovating at speed, particularly in AI adoption, that innovation must be secured just as quickly,” said Jason Duerden, AVP, ANZ, SentinelOne. “SentinelOne has thousands of customers operating their business on top of the Singularity Platform, securing their AI era transformation. Our AI-native platform gives defenders the upper hand, not just to respond to threats, but to stay well ahead of them. At a time of global uncertainty and conflict, sovereign cybersecurity capabilities matter. We are investing for the long term in ANZ, strengthening sovereign capability, deepening partnerships, and ensuring our region’s defenders have the ultimate security advantage in their hands ” Duerden added.

SentinelOne’s regional strategy is underpinned by Australian data residency, IRAP protected level capabilities, and strong alignment with the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential Eight framework and the SOCI Act. SentinelOnes platform capabilities map to both the Australian and New Zealand cybersecurity strategies, positioning the company as a trusted and proven partner to government and regulated industries.

Duerden brings over a decade of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise technology leadership. He returns to the role of Area Vice President, after spending the last 12 months focusing on the company’s brand and communications strategy as Area Vice President of Social Media. Prior to that he was Country Manager at BlackBerry and Regional Director at Cylance Inc., where he led high-growth expansion across the ANZ market.

The company’s momentum is reinforced by a thriving regional ecosystem, accelerating partnerships with organisations including Amazon Web Services, Sallt, TPO Technologies, Orro Group, DXC Technology, McGrath Nicol and Advantage NZ.
