Melbourne, Australia – 3 March 2026 Slipstream Cyber, a specialised firm that offers 24/7 cyber defence and advisory services, today confirmed its inclusion on the Atmos First Response and Remediation Panel, forming part of Atmos’ trusted first response team for cyber incidents. Atmos is a specialist legal and advisory firm in the areas of cyber, privacy and digital risk across Australia and New Zealand.
The panel brings together technical and advisory capabilities to support organisations during the critical early stages of a cyber incident, when speed, expertise and coordination are essential. As a panel member, Slipstream Cyber provides digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) services when incidents are activated through Atmos, supporting organisations to rapidly contain threats, investigate impact and begin remediation.
In addition, Slipstream Cyber is a sponsor of Atmos’ inaugural SPHERE event, taking place in Sydney on 5 March 2026. The event will bring together cyber, legal and risk leaders to discuss emerging threats, regulatory change and practical approaches to strengthening organisational cyber resilience.
Following the acquisition of Slipstream Cyber Security by Interactive in early 2023, Slipstream Cyber has continued to expand its DFIR capability, delivering mission‑critical support to organisations experiencing cyber incidents, as well as proactive services designed to reduce the likelihood and impact of future attacks.
The inclusion of Slipstream Cyber on the panel reflects a broader shift in how Australian organisations are approaching cyber resilience. ADAPT research shows that insufficient staff in key roles and insufficient skills in the existing workforce rank among the top execution barriers for Australian CISOs, with pressures particularly acute in highly regulated and critical infrastructure environments. As a result, many organisations are increasingly relying on external specialists to supplement internal capabilities during incidents.
Steve MacDonald, Director at Slipstream Cyber said trusted external response capability has become essential for effective cyber incident management.
“Cyber incidents are increasing in complexity at the same time many organisations are facing ongoing challenges hiring and retaining specialist security talent. Being included on the Atmos First Response and Remediation Panel allows us to respond quickly with deep technical expertise, helping organisations stabilise incidents and make informed decisions from the outset.”
He added that effective response increasingly requires close alignment between technical and advisory disciplines.
“Rapid forensic insight is critical, but it needs to support broader governance, regulatory and risk considerations. Working as part of Atmos’ first response framework ensures organisations can access that combined perspective when it matters most.”
Reece Corbett-Wilkins, Head of First Response at Atmos, said the panel model is designed to give organisations immediate access to specialist expertise during high‑pressure incidents.
“When a cyber incident occurs, organisations need fast access to experienced technical responders who can operate confidently alongside legal and advisory teams. Including Slipstream Cyber on our First Response and Remediation Panel strengthens our ability to support clients through the earliest and most critical stages of an incident, and additional scale to manage industry wide cyber events.”
