Wendy Komadina Appointed Darktrace VP ANZ To Spearhead Next Phase Of Partner-Led Growth

Darktrace, a global leader in AI for cybersecurity, is pleased to announce the appointment of highly respected Australian technology executive, Wendy Komadina, as Vice President, Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Based in Sydney, Australia, Ms Komadina will play a pivotal role in driving Darktrace’s next phase of growth in the region, enabling more organizations to take advantage of Darktrace’s best in class Self-Learning AI approach to prevent and stop never-before-seen threats.

Ms Komadina brings a mix of deep technology expertise, extensive networks, and a track record of leading world-class teams across Asia Pacific and ANZ – including her previous role as Vice President of Partner Sales APJ at Cloudflare, and senior APJ leadership roles with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cisco and Microsoft.

Ms Komadina will execute a targeted go-to-market strategy focused on defending organizations in highly regulated industries who are prone to sophisticated threats, building on its success with customers such as Brisbane Airports, Osmoflo and Australian Grand Prix. Her go-to-market approach will continue to strengthen Darktrace’s partnership ecosystem which already takes in hyperscalers, global system integrators like DXC, and cyber-focused partners including CyberCX, Kordia, and The Missing Link.

Commenting on her appointment, Ms Komadina said, “I’m truly honored to join Darktrace at a moment when it’s driving a global partner first strategy, and I’m excited to grow its footprint across Australia and New Zealand. Cyber risk has never been more present on boardroom agendas. Our role is to work closely with our customers to address their security challenges from securing their network, to their email inboxes, through to their cloud environments. It’s complex and we’re here to support customers on that journey. Cybersecurity is a team sport and we intend to work closely with our strategic partners and alliances to support our customers in tackling the ever-evolving threat landscape.”

Across the past 18 months, Darktrace has deepened its commitment to partners and transformed its global go-to-market strategy with its renewed Darktrace Defenders Partner Program. The program has seen a shift to partner-led sales across the company through cross-business training on partner collaboration, sales incentives for partner deals, and a new tiered partnership model and benefits. Ms Komadina will continue helping Darktrace redefine how it engages with its channel network across Australia and New Zealand.

Trevor Coetzee, Senior Vice President, MEA & APJ at Darktrace said, “Wendy understands what defines a world class SaaS business and recognizes that ANZ customers value strong relationships and trusted reputations.”

“We’re thrilled to welcome her to Darktrace as we enter this next phase of growth. Her proven track record, strategic insight, and extensive network will be instrumental in scaling our presence across ANZ and safeguarding businesses at every layer of their digital infrastructure, from email to network to cloud.”

This new appointment builds on Darktrace’s global momentum and growth under the ownership of Thoma Bravo. Since joining Thoma Bravo in 2024, Darktrace has announced the acquisitions of cloud forensics provider, Cado, and network traffic visibility leader, Mira Security to fuel its long-term innovation roadmap, and expanded its global footprint with new offices in Saudi Arabia alongside a new deployment center and corporate office in Dallas.
