SYDNEY, Australia – September 1, 2025 – Cohesity, the leader in AI-powered data security, today announced the appointment of James Eagleton as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). In this role, Eagleton will be responsible for driving Cohesity’s overall business strategy, sales operations, and growth initiatives across the ANZ region.
Cohesity secures hundreds of exabytes of data for over 13,600 enterprise customers around the world – including nearly 70% of the Global 500 – and Eagleton joins at a period of significant business expansion across ANZ and the wider region.

Eagleton brings extensive leadership experience in data security, virtualisation, and enterprise digital solutions, to his new role, having led regional sales and channel teams at Adobe, Dell, and Sun Microsystems. Eagleton has a strong track record of building high-performing teams, delivering growth, and helping customers accelerate their digital transformation journeys, most recently leading the South Pacific regional Data Services and Storage organisation at HPE.
