Whitelisting ‘The Dossier’ Email

GMAIL/WORKSPACE

First, find the email you received from the sender you want to whitelist, and start by adding the sending address of this email to your contact list.

Then, create a custom Gmail filter. To do so, click on the Gear Icon in the top right, and select Settings.

Click into Filters and Blocked Addresses from the navigation bar at the top of the page, then click on the Create a New Filter link.

Add this email address to whitelist in the “From” field, then click Create filter. Lastly, click on Never Send it to Spam option before saving & exiting this menu.

MICROSOFT OUTLOOK

The process is fairly similar for Microsoft Outlook, though there are two ways to accomplish the task:

Select a message from the sender. Click through the following links to whitelist the

sender: Home > Junk > Never Block Sender or Never Block Sender’s Domain
OR

Select a message from the sender. Right-click the selected message and choose Junk > Never Block Sender from the dropdown menu. From there, a dialog box will notify you that the selected address has been added to your safe senders list.

MAC MAIL
Apple has always done things their own way, and whitelisting is no exception. Here are our quick steps for whitelisting a sender in Mac Mail.

Select Mail > Preferences
On the top of that window, click the Rules tab, then select Add Rule
Set up the rule (use the following settings as an example):
Description: KBI.Media Inbox
If [any] of the following conditions are met: [From] [kbi.media] Perform the following actions: [Move Message] to mailbox: [Inbox]
Next, click OK to save the rule.
