We don’t keep sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) at all. All our surveys are sent to relevant members of our audience, asking general questions (mostly multiple choice) without capturing any unnecessary personal information. Once we’ve aggregated the data, we delete all individual records unless participants opt in to be included in our reports.

Primarily to make the service better for you! By understanding more about who’s interacting with our site beyond just raw metrics, we want to dig into exactly what you’re interested in. The secondary reason is to be able to paint a more vivid and accurate picture for our Partners about our audience, so we can help them position the most relevant and interesting material for us to distribute, and to substantiate their support.

When germane to the public discourse; absolutely. A big part of the reason for running surveys is for us to capture an accurate snapshot of the industry’s collective position on a given topic. We’re going to be using the results of our surveys (along with redacted audience reporting & insights for our Partners) to provide answers to topical industry questions.
