SentinelOne Singularity XDR achieves ‘Protected’ IRAP status

SentinelOne (NYSE: S), an autonomous cybersecurity platform company, announced completion of the IRAP assessment for the SentinelOne Singularity XDR Platform. This enables SentinelOne to work with the Australian government to improve its cybersecurity posture.

IRAP is an Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) initiative that provides high-quality information and communications technology (ICT) security assessment services to government and industry. IRAP assesses cybersecurity systems in order to determine the extent to which systems align with the Australian Government’s cybersecurity standards, including the ACSC’s Information Security Manual (ISM). The SentinelOne Singularity XDR Platform has been assessed to operate at the ‘Protected’ level status under the independent Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP), ahead of competitor XDR solutions from the likes of CrowdStrike and Microsoft.

“Achieving IRAP status is a testament to the quality of our Singularity XDR Platform, confirming that SentinelOne is ready and willing to work directly with the Australian Government to improve their cybersecurity posture,” said Jason Duerden, Regional Director, ANZ, SentinelOne.  “We look forward to helping departments replace outdated legacy tools and upgrade to XDR, insulating themselves against an increasingly complex threat landscape.”

The Australian Government has recognised the imperative of modernising its systems and infrastructure. To this end, the federal government has allocated a significant budget of $31.3 million in its revised budget of October 2022 to extend its pilot Cyber Hubs program. This substantial investment reaffirms the government’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the nation’s cybersecurity capabilities, thereby fortifying its defences against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
