Why do you enjoy working in the cybersecurity field?
I have always loved technology – for me, it’s about growth, innovation, and creativity. Every day is different in terms of the challenges and outcomes and at the end of the day focusing on customer outcomes and experience in technology is what counts. After all, helping individuals go about their virtual lives more securely so they can prosper, learn, and engage is compelling.
What are your words of advice to encourage other women to work in the space?
Like anything in life, if you’re curious try it! Talk to someone who is already in cybersecurity about their experiences. Join online forums and attend speaker sessions such as Women in Tech or tech talks. If it resonates with you, then I would encourage you to investigate further, continue to network and challenge yourself. Learn or do something new every day and seek out formal programs in your industry. Always remember that you are your biggest advocate and champion.
