Why do you enjoy working in the cybersecurity field?

Cybersecurity is a dynamic field with a constant stream of new and emerging technologies that help organisations understand and address the ever-evolving threat landscape. As digital transformation is increasingly leaned on by organisations to accelerate productivity, companies are looking to leverage IT technologies to increase innovation and do more with less. Enabling my customers to achieve this with the platform technology I bring them – multiple capabilities in a single platform to address a host of potential threats – and acting as an extension of their team to identify, prioritise, remediate and mitigate risks, is what makes me wake up for work with a smile.

What are your words of advice to encourage other women to work in the space?

Cyber Security puts you on a great career path which continues to evolve to offer more diverse roles for anyone interested in protecting networks and data from a people, process and technology perspective. The opportunities are endless and of course often now lead to board level advisory and board level appointments for those with C-Level aspirations and beyond.
