Why do you enjoy working in the cyber security field?
At Ping Identity, I oversee a group of product support engineers who assist our customers in securing logins to applications for our customers, freeing them to focus on their core objectives without worrying about security concerns. Helping our customers with their cybersecurity challenges gives me a feeling of making a difference, making an impact and fulfilling at the end of the day. At the same time, the fast-paced environment keeps me on my toes, engaged, and alert. Each day brings fresh insights and learning opportunities, ensuring I remain enthusiastic and driven.
What are your words of advice to encourage other women to work in the space?
A career in cybersecurity is promising and has numerous benefits, including ongoing opportunities for upskilling and exploring cutting-edge technologies, as well as excellent compensation and potential for career advancement. This is a dynamic field and is always in demand. With the exponential growth of digital data and recent cyber attacks, organisations heavily invest in security programs, opening up more opportunities.
Trust in your journey and have faith in yourself. Hard work and perseverance can bring you success. Cybersecurity is a domain that requires human connection and creative ideas from diverse perspectives.
