Why do you enjoy working in the cybersecurity field?
Fast-paced and full of smart people. I really enjoy the fact that I’m a part of something so important to the lives of so many individuals. We may not be saving lives but we are protecting their identities which in today’s world is paramount.
What are your words of advice to encourage other women to work in the space?
As the world becomes increasingly digital, the importance of cybersecurity can’t be understated, with breaches having devastating impacts financially and more. We need diverse voices and perspectives in the space to help solve complex and evolving challenges. Women bring this other perspective to the space, with strong communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail which can bridge the gap between technology and people. You can expect to work on amazing technologies, collaborate with some of the smartest people and make a meaningful impact.
